What is drive technology?
The various products in drive technology ensure that machines, systems and other devices can be set in motion by transmitting power. However, the components in drive technology do not focus on the drive source, but ensure that the respective drive element is supplied with energy.
In drive technology, a distinction is made between the following three types of drive:
- In the manual drive, the energy supply to the drive source is provided by hands or feet.
- The mechanical drive is divided into an electric drive and an electromagnetic drive.
- If the drive is provided by an internal combustion engine or a steam engine, the drive is based on the displacement principle.
In which industries does drive technology play a role?
